Staff Selection Commission (SSC) of India released the advertisement / notification of Combined Higher Secondary level (CHSL) 2024 exam. Those candidates who like to register for this 12th level exam, can apply from the official website of SSC. Every year, this exam is held by the commission at various centres all over the country. Millions of candidates appear for this test as per previous records.

Registrations has started from 08.04.2023 and ends on 07 May 2024. The tier 1 written exam will be held from June – July 2024 (CBE). Tier 2 exam date will be declared later.

- In 2015, the vacancies are 6578. The vacancies for the post of Postal Assistant/Sorting Assistant, LDC and DEO were 3523, 2049 and 1006 respectively.

Selection process:
- Computer based Written Examination (Tier-I)
- Descriptive Paper (Tier-II)
- Typing Test/Skill Test (Tier-III) Examination.
Scheme of Examination: The examination will consist of a Written Examination and Skill Test for the post of Data Entry Operator and Written Test and Typing Test for the post of Postal Assistant & Sorting Assistant (PA/SA) and Lower Division Clerk on Computer.
Educational Qualifications:
Candidate must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University. For Data Entry Operator in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
Age Limit as on 01 August 2024: Candidate’s age should be in between 18-27 years for unreserved category (Candidates born not
before 02-08-1997 and not later than 01-08-2006 can apply).
5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD (unreserved), 13 years for PWD (OBC), 15 years for PWD (SC/ST). Check More age relaxation in advertisement pdf available at link below.
Application fee:
- For General / OBC / EWS Male applicants – Rs. 100/-.
- No fee for women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Physically Handicapped and Ex-servicemen.
