SSC CGL Physical Standards for All Posts

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts Common Graduate Level (CGL) exam every year. One of the main eligibility criterion
is graduation from a recognized university. The candidates applying for various posts including
inspectors and sub inspector in SSC CGL also have to possess some physical
standards for being selected on the posts. Here you can check details on this.

Physical standard requirements for Male
candidates:
Height: 157.5 cms (5 feet 2 inches)
Chest: 81 cms (32 inches) (full expended with minimum
expanse of 5 cms. or 2 inches)
Note: Height is relaxable by 5 cms in the case of Garwalis,
Gorkhas, Assamese, members of Scheduled Tribes.
(b) Physical Test:
Walking : 1600 metres in 15 min.
Cycling : 8 Kms. In 30 min.
SSC CGL 2014 Physical Standards for Female Posts (Inspector)
(a) Physical standards (Minimum)
Height: 152 cms. (5 feet)
Weight: 48 Kgs.
Note: Height is relaxable by 2.5 cms and Weight by 2 Kgs.
for Gorkhas, Garwalis, Assamese and Members of Scheduled Tribes
ii) Physical Test :
Walking : 1 Km. in 20 minutes.
Cycling : 3 Kms. in 25 minutes.
2. FOR POSTS OF SUB-INSPECTOR IN C.B.I.  :
a) Height
For men – 165 cms.
For women – 150 cms.
Note: Height is relaxable for Hillsmen and Tribals by 5 cms.
b) Chest :
76 cms. with expansion (There shall be no such requirement
in case of female candidates)
c) Vision :
Eye-sight (with or without glasses)
Distant vision : 6/6 in one and 6/9 in other eye.
Near vision 0.6 in one eye and 0.8 in other eye.
