Department of Forests and Wildlife, Govt of NCT of Delhi, had invited applications for Forestry Staff i.e. Forest Guard, Forest Ranger, Wildlife Guard / Game Watcher through direct recruitment. The salary of Forest Guard in all states of India is nearly same as it depends on Allowances given by the state. The allowances differs by a little amount depending on state.
Forest Guard posts are of Group C Non Gazzeted Non Ministerial. These Posts have pay scale of Pay band 1 Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2000/. This pay scale is equivalent to 21700-69100 pay scale in 7th pay commission as shown in 7th cpc table image given below.
Those who got selected after qualifying selection criteria, will be given this pay scale. Rs. 5200 is the starting basic pay in this pay scale on which various allowances are calculated to come at total salary.
On the basis of this pay scale, Forest Guard salary details are as follows:
- Starting basic pay: Rs. 21700
- Starting Total Salary in 2024: Rs. 32500-36500 per month
- Deductions: 10% NPS i.e. Around Rs. 2900.
- Cash in Hand Salary: Rs. 29600-33600 monthly.
Allowances are given in addition to basis pay in order to come at gross salary. The allowances includes Dearness Allowance, House Rant Allowance etc. Salary is given every month regularly. Dearness allowance gets increased every six month. Also increments are provided time to time which increases salary.
Delhi Forest Ranger Pay Scale (Group B ‘B’ Non-Gazetted Non-Ministerial): Level-6 [Rs.35,400- 1,12,400]
Delhi Wildlife Guard/ Game Watcher Pay Scale (C’ Non-Gazetted Non-Ministerial): Level-1 (Rs. 18000- 56900) as per 7th CPC.
