NIACL AO Syllabus 2022 Phase 1, 2 Exam Pattern

New India Assurance Company limited commonly known as NIACL conducts several recruitment examinations. One of its main exam is for Administrative Officers (Specialist / Generalist). Those candidates who are preparing for NIACL AO exam must start their preparation as per syllabus. If they prepare well for the exam, then they can have higher chances of qualifying the examination. And if they worked harder, then they might get better marks and increase their chances of getting selected.

The online examination will comprise of two phases.
Phase 1: Pre Exam
Phase 2: Main Exam

Phase 1:

Pre exam have 100 questions to be asked from following sections.
English Language – 30 questions
Reasoning Ability – 35 questions
Quantitative Aptitude – 35 questions
Time: 1 hour

 

Phase 2:

Generalist:- There will be 4 sections in Main exam.

1. Reasoning
2. English Language
3. Quantitative Aptitude
4. General Awareness
Every Section carries 50 marks and having 50 questions. Total time given is 2.5 hours. General Awareness section will be of 30 minutes duration while other sections will be of 40 minutes duration. Check Full Details in below image:

NIACL AO Mains Exam Pattern

 

 

Descriptive Test (English): The Online Descriptive Test of 30 minutes duration carrying 30 marks. It will be a Test of English Language (Letter Writing-10 marks & Essay-20 marks).

Five choices will be given. One is to be choosen as answer by the candidate.
Negative Marking: ¼ for each mark question’s wrong answer.
However candidates may have to be at the venue for approximately 180 minutes including the time required for logging in, collection of the call letters, going through the instructions etc. All the questions will be multiple choice.

All tests except test of English Language will be provided in English and Hindi.

NIACL Administrative Officer (AO) Syllabus 2022

Reasoning : Questions will be asked from analogies, similarities and differences, spatial orientation, spatial visualization, problem solving analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, syllogistic reasoning, arithmetic reasoning, verbal and figure classification, arithmetical number series, Symbol series, coding and decoding, statement conclusion.
Quantitative AptitudeQuestions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, LCM / HCF, Age Problem and Date Interpretation question like Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart.
English languageVerb, preposition, adverb, subject verb agreement, Error Correction/ recognition, tenses, sentences rearrangement, fill in the blanks with articles etc., comprehension, answering questions based on unseen passage, vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms usage, vocabulary & grammar, Proficiency in the language.
General AwarenessSince this company is an assurance company, so some questions definitely be asked from insurance / assurance and banking. Questions will be asked from General Awareness, Current Affairs, Banking, Culture, Geography, Govt Schemes, Policies, Indian Constitution, Indian Economy, Financial awareness, Economic News, Budget & Plans, Books and Authors, Awards and Honours, Sports, Science Inventions and Discoveries, Abbreviations / Full Forms, Important Days / Dates etc. static awareness topics.
 

This is the syllabus of NIACL AO Generalist Exam for all sections. A total time of 2.5 hours is given to candidates for solving these 200 questions. You can attempt any question from 1 to 200 at any point of time within these 120 minutes.
