Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB or RSMSSB) has released advertisement for total 1012 Lab Assistant (Prayogshala Sahayak) and Junior Lab Assistant (Kanisth Prayogshala Sahayak) posts for various departments. Among these, 735 posts are of Non TSP area and 277 Posts are of TSP area.

Candidate is given fixed Salary during first 2 years probation period without any allowances. After successfully completing Probationary trainee period, salary as per pay scale mentioned below is given with all allowances.
During Probation period of 2 years, fixed salary of Rs. 18500 per month is given without any allowances like DA, HRA, CCA, Special pay etc.. Leaves and other benefits are given as per rules.
After successful completion as probationary trainee, candidate is given salary as per Rajasthan Pay Matrix Level 8 for which total and in Hand Salary are given below.
Lab Assistant Pay Scale on permanent post after probationary period is Pay Matrix Level 8 Rs. 5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs. 2800. In this Pay Scale, starting basic pay in this Pay scale level is Rs. 26300 per month. Last basic pay on this post is Rs. 83500 per month.
Salary Structure of Lab Assistant in Rajasthan:
- Salary during 2 years Probationary period: Rs. 18500 per month (fixed)
- Pay Scale: Rajasthan Pay Matrix Level 8 (Rs. 5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs. 2800)
- Starting Total Salary after probation: Around 38100-42100 per month
- Deductions from total salary: Rs. 3500/-
- In Hand Salary per month in Starting : Rs. 34600-38600 per month
RSMSSB Junior Lab Assistant Salary 2023 Pay Scale
During 2 years probation period, candidates are given fixed remuneration / salary of Rs. 14600 per month. Candidate will be given salary as per pay scale level 5 who completes probation period successfully. Rajasthan Pay Matrix level 5 is Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay Rs. 2400. In Level 5, starting basic pay is Rs. 20800 per month.
Kanisth Prayogshala Sahayak Salary Structure:
- Salary during 2 years Probationary period: Rs. 14600 per month (fixed)
- Pay Scale: Rajasthan Pay Matrix Level 10 Rs. 5200-20200 Grade Pay Rs. 2400
- Starting Total Salary of Rajasthan Jr. Lab Assistant after probation: Around 30100-32600 per month
- Deductions: Rs. 2200/-
- In Hand Starting Salary per month in Starting: Rs. 27900-30400 per month
Allowance given:
- Dearness allowance (42% of basic pay)
- House Rent Allowance (HRA): Jaipur, Jodhpur, Bikaner, Ajmer, Kota: 16% of Basic pay, Other Cities of Rajasthan: 8% of Basic Pay
- Compensatory (City) Allowance: Rs. 320-620, if applicable.
- Special Pay or other allowances, if applicable, will be as per rules of Rajasthan govt.
