Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UP PRPB) will conduct written exam for recruitment to Sub-Inspector (SI) and Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) posts. The selection of eligible candidates is to be done through written test, Document verification, PET / PST, Typing / Steno test & Medical examination.
UP Police had invited online applications for the recruitment of 921 posts of SI (Confidential) and ASI (Clerk and Accounts). The written exam is to be held first. Having the syllabus of examination will help candidates get better marks. It will help you understand the written exam on what topics to prepare.

The selection process consists of following stages :
- Written Examination
- DV & Physical Standard Test (PST), Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
- Typing / Stenography test
- Medical test
The written exam is to be held through online mode. Objective type questions are to be answered in 2 hours 30 minutes time. Maximum marks for the exam are 400.
The paper will have questions from following 4 subjects.
- General Hindi / Computer Knowledge: 100 marks
- General Awareness Current Affairs: 100 marks
- Numerical & Mental Ability: 100 marks
- Mental Aptitude test / IQ test / Reasoning: 100 marks
40% marks in aggregate and 35% marks in each subject are required to be obtained by candidate in order to qualify the written exam. Exam will be conducted in one or more shifts. So, written exam marks will be normalized.
