Uttar Pradesh Public Selection Commission (UPPSC) will be conducting a written examination for 1473 posts of Lecturer (Pravakta) in Government Inter Colleges (GIC). Preliminary Exam: There will be one question paper that consist of questions from General Studies and Optional Subject. Total 120 questions will be asked in Pre exam in which 80 questions will be from Optional Subject and 40 questions from General Studies. These 120 questions carry 300 marks and 2 hours duration.

1- General Science (High School Standard)
2- History of India
3- Indian National Movement
4- Indian Polity, Economy & Culture
5- IndianAgriculture, Commerce & Trade
6- World Geography & Indian Geography & Natural resources of India
7- Current National and International Important events
8- Logic & Reasoning based on General Intelligence.
9- Specific knowledge regarding Education, Culture, Agriculture, Industry Trade, Living &
Social Traditions of Uttar Pradesh.
10- Elementary Mathematics up to 8th level:-Arithmetic,Algebra and Geometry.
11- Ecology and Environment.
Optional Subject:
The syllabus of Optional subject will be that of Main Exam.
Main Exam Syllabus and Exam Pattern
Main Exam will have two question papers. Paper 1 will be of General Hindi (50 marks) and Essay (50 marks) with duration of 2 hours. Paper 1 will carry 100 marks and paper 2 will carry 300 marks.
