HP Police Constable Salary 2024 Pay Scale

Himachal Pradesh Police Department had advertised for 1334 Constable (Male and Female) (GD & Driver) posts. Candidates need to be 12th pass to apply for these constable posts. Selection of candidates is to be done through written test, Physical Standard Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Scrutiny of Documents and final merit.

A new joining candidates is placed in pay scale of Rs. 5910-20200 plus grade pay of Rs. 1900 (Initial start Rs. 7810). The starting basic pay of HP Police Constable is Rs. 7810. After eight years of regular service on this post, candidate’s pay band will become Rs. 10300-34800 Plus Grade Pay 3200.

On the basis of this pay scale, the starting approximate Total Salary should be around Rs. 21500-23000 per month depending on place of posting and allowances given.

The dearness allowance rate is 159% of basic pay effective from 01 July 2021.

House Rant Allowance rate is Rs. 600 for Shimla (including suburbs) and Rs. 300 for district headquarters and Rs. 250 in other parts of the state.
